Sodexo Diversity & Inclusion

This year Sodexo’s Office of Diversity embarked on an organizational redesign to better align its resources and mission with Sodexo’s North America Strategic Plan and the priorities of the business. The redesign is now complete and the new team is fully operational. 

Sandy Harris is the Vice President of Corporate Diversity Strategy & Internal Operations responsible for leading the ongoing advancement and implementation of Sodexo’s integrated diversity and inclusion strategy.  She oversees the development and execution of a focused vision with clearly defined objectives and strategic action plans as well as drives multiple components of the D&I strategy through the effective management of teams. Sandy will work closely with the Vice President, Market Diversity to ensure performance in the markets and support client consulting. She also has primary responsibility for the strategy and actions at HQ as well as oversight of engagement, EEO/AA, training, initiatives and the EBRGs. 

Sandy has worked with organizations to create diverse, inclusive and high performing work environments for over 25 years, spanning 5 Fortune 500 companies such as Xerox and General Mills, as well as a premier international organizational development and training consulting firm. Most recently Sandy was the Corporate Director of Global Inclusion, Diversity & Engagement for Medtronic, the world’s largest medical technology company, where she and her team developed comprehensive global strategies, systems, processes and programs to further Medtronic’s strategic global business aspirations as well as consulted with senior leadership to further their engagement through tailored strategies, metrics and actions. 

Rolddy Leyva is returning to Sodexo and to the team as the Vice President of market Diversity and is responsible for the strategy, engagement and implementation of diversity and inclusion in the markets including leading the development of market diversity strategies and action plans to enhance and drive performance and metrics.  He is also the strategic internal consultant to the Sales function within each market to leverage diversity and inclusion initiatives in the sales process as well as work in conjunction with Corporate Diversity and Operations leadership to identify and develop diversity consulting services for clients. 

Rolddy has over 15 years of progressive human resources and diversity experience leading workplace and marketplace diversity and talent planning initiatives across multiple industries.  When he left Sodexo in 2012 he joined Capital One, the twelfth largest bank in the country, as Senior Director of Workplace Consulting.  He was responsible for aligning and leading teams supporting business needs of the enterprise through workplace solutions and projects.  Prior to Capital One, Rolddy was Vice President of Market Diversity for Sodexo, responsible for leading the strategy and execution for D&I in the Corporate and Education Markets. 

Lourdes Diaz, Vice President of External Relations, will continue to lead external diversity relations with our National strategic partners.  In addition, to better align with Sodexo’s focus on 11 strategically important geographies, Lourdes will lead community relations in targeted areas including Chicago, LA, Atlanta, NY and Texas.  This includes focusing on business development activities, building sustainable relationships and leveraging partnerships across all markets to increase Sodexo’s visibility and community presence.
