Last year I accepted an adjunct professor position with Chicago State University, Chicago, Illinois http://www.csu.edu- where I have been teaching an on-line undergraduate business course - MKTG 3705 – ENTREPRENEURIAL SALES & MARKETING. I am excited about this opportunity and will use this course to discuss the impact of social media on business and communities.
My goal has been to develop a case study - that will be picked up by blogs, magazines and other business schools around the country, as a training tool for the new social media realities and how they intersect with diversity and inclusion.
My second class at Chicago State is coming to an end. As part of their final assignment I asked my students to write 300 word paper on what have they had learned about social media and what they plan to do with their personal brand - Twitter page or Facebook page.
I present the top three papers
Here is paper # 3
Tiauna Washington
Paper on twitter
I never considered using twitter as an additional source to gather as well as distribute information until this assignment. I always had a screwed impression that twitter was just another over-rated way to be in someone’s business for derogatory reasoning. To my surprise there is quite of bit of fundamental information that can be gathered from twitter.
I enjoy how one can filter out the genre of people they interested in following. I also enjoy how we as viewers are able to receive a description on whether the person is married, parents, and etc. that associates them with everyday society, and yet still be so successful. This website provides positive quotes, experiences, and fundamental information pertaining to being successful as an entrepreneur.
What I plan to do with this new site is to continue to maximize the knowledge it entails, follow more individuals that are striving towards the same objective that I am striving for which is to be a successful entrepreneur. I plan on expanding my new twitter account with additional information pertaining my interest as well as my accomplishments, and use this site as another source to get a positive message across to those whom are interested in success.
