Martee Pierson, Director of Diversity Programs and Executive Director of Liberty’s Una Familia Sin Fronteras FOUNDATION will act as the first female and Latina to Chair this prestigious annual event that recognizes corporations and individuals in the Hampton Roads community who have made significant contributions by enhancing diversity, civic engagement and leadership.

The dinner honors the legacy of Whitney M. Young, Jr., former executive director of the National Urban League from 1961 to 1971. Proceeds from the dinner will support the League’s programs and services in education, employment, health, and housing and has assisted over 25,000 individuals in the Hampton Roads community in 2011.
